Terms of Use for iDictation
Last updated: October 5, 2026.
1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms of use govern the use of the iDictation app (“the App”), published by Eric Millet (“the Publisher”). By installing or using the App, you accept these terms without reservation. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
2. License
The Publisher grants you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the App on the devices you own or control, within the limits set by the app stores’ terms (App Store, Google Play).
3. Content and features
The App offers audio dictations and correction aids. Some content and features are free; others are obtained through a one-time in-app purchase or a subscription. Purchases are handled by the stores: their billing, renewal and refund terms apply.
4. Explanations of mistakes
The explanations and tips provided by the App are teaching aids. Their availability may be limited, and they are neither professional advice nor a guarantee of results: a structured learning path requires a teacher’s support.
5. Intellectual property
The App, its texts, its audio recordings, its visuals and its brand are protected by intellectual property law. The literary excerpts used come from public-domain works or are used with permission. You agree to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6. Compliant use
You agree not to divert the App from its intended use, not to decompile it or modify it, and not to extract its contents, except in cases permitted by law.
7. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
8. Warranties and liability
The App is provided “as is”. The Publisher does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from errors and cannot be held liable for indirect damages, within the limits permitted by law. No provision of these terms excludes liability in the event of willful misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury.
9. Changes
These terms may be modified at any time; the applicable version is the one published on this page, as of its update date.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory rules protecting consumers.
